It was the end of what he says was maybe one of the longest childhoods in history. As for their friendship today, he had nothing but lovely things to say about them after reconnecting amid Bob Saget's untimely death in January 2022. While it sounds impossible due to the Grandfathered star often reminiscing of his time with Mary-Kate and Ashley, he admitted that the moment actually occurred in real-life. Franklin explained that Saget was always at the top of his list for the role of the father but was unavailable at the time the show started filming.
